She holds a Doctorate in Christian Psychology with a Minor in Human Behavior and is a Credentialed Victim Service Provider in South Carolina through the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA). Dr. McDonald also serves as a Partner-Inflicted Brain Injury Task Force Advisor for Pink Concussion.
Certified in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention, Girl Circle Facilitation, and Train-the-Trainer programs, Dr. McDonald is deeply committed to enhancing mental health and trauma response.
As the Executive Director of Re-Discover ME Initiative, she engages, educates, and improves the quality of life for survivors of abuse, trauma, and mental health disparities resulting from intimate partner and sexual violence. She is also the author of the Mental Safety Plan Journal, Re-Discover ME Training Pathways, and the creator of the “Trigger Cloud” and “Brittany the Brain” mascot.
